Torah Portion #46 Ekev (Deuteronomy 7:12-11:25)

by on July 23, 2013

This week’s torah portion continues with the privilege of holiness. Also Moses gives a call to remember and obey. Victory by Yahweh’s grace and a new copy of the covenant is also covered.

The firs verse in this torah teaching sums up much of it very well…

If you listen to these regulations and faithfully obey them, Yahweh your Elohim will keep His covenant of unfailing love with you, as He promised with an oath to your ancestors. -Deuteronomy 7:12

  1. Hi Paul

Dut. 8:12 states we should pray and are full, then you will bless the LORD* your God for the good land He has given you. So are we to pray after or before we eat?

I Thank YHWH for using you for clarification of the Torah for those of us today.
It is also my understanding that when you are full, that is after your meal. You then, thank and bless YHWH.
If I am incorrect, please let me know.
    Shalom, Shalom,
    Joyce
