Yeshua Said… Part 01 (Matthew 3:15)

by on April 26, 2012

This is the first video in a series that I will be doing called “Yeshua Said.” In these videos, I will go through the Renewed Covenant scriptures and discuss all scriptures where Yeshua speaks.

The first place where Yeshua is recorded speaking is Matthew 3:15. These scriptures can encourage us to do what righteousness requires, just as Yeshua our Messiah did before us.

  1. Great, Christians say ‘yes, but that was before the cross’. That they are now the righteousness of God through Christ like its just a mental ascent and that they don’t have to do anything to be blessed because this would be self-righteousness. Righteousness is a verb in the Hebrew right. to me that means that we walk out His righteousness (the Torah) as evidence of Him writing it on our hearts and then He alone is glorified. Any thoughts?

      • Reminds me of our forefather Abraham. He was not circumcised when he left Babylon to follow YHWH. He went not knowing where Abba would lead him.
        BUT…
After he began following Yah’s ways, he became circumcised in the flesh.

What this means to me is that even in our sin, not circumcised, but believing, we are saved. The actual follow thorugh on our part is a result of our belief.

I encourage all men who claim to be believers and followers to consider the value of circumcision of the flesh, because like a physical water mikvah/baptisim, these outward symbols have deep spiritual revelation.

I know this is a sensitive subject, but try to remember Abraham was a very old man when he became circumcised.

        Written in love.

CJB However, Yeshua answered him, “Let it be this way now, because we should do everything righteousness requires.”

  2. I really like this Yahushua said idea. I plan on listing to all the series. I too began my walk by studying his words printed in red in the KJV. Now I read from Hallaluyah Scriptures and The Scriptures, but I always go back to his words, now that I know where to find them, whenever I have a question. Yahushua has never lead me astray. Looking forward to hearing what you have to say about John 17. Thanks!

I believe your taking this verse out of content..When Yeshua said “WE”… Yeshua was not speaking of “US” as of today, but John and Himself pertaining to the immersion that was going on in that moment and place. Yeshua was about fulfilling the Scriptures, and Yeshua was discussing that with John. Yeshua said; He did not come to destroy the law, but to fulfill. Yeshua was about doing the will of the Father. But to say, Yeshua said; “WE” as if that is pertaining to us today is twisting the Scriptures to meet your own understanding. I do believe in obeying the Scriptures from Genesis to Revelation, but i don’t believe using analogies as this, to follow the Old Covenant. The Law was never intended for us to keep, but only to reveal we could not keep, that we can seek a Savior after we finally get tired of working our way to please Jehova. The Law was written for Yeshua, that He would keep and the Blessings would be bestowed upon Him as He fulfilled the Law. As for us pertaining to the Law; Paul clearly says in Timothy the Law was never intended for the righteous but the sinner and etc…that is to say, the Law was intended to expose the heart of a sinner that He may cry out to Yeshua as Lord and Savior. After the Law has done its work and directed us to the Savior, the Law as a tutor has fullfilled its purpose. Now we are no longer under the curses or blessings of the Law because we are now being guided by the Law of the Spirit of the Lord and the Blessings are greater in Christ Yeshua than they are from the Law. Is this to say to sin because we are no longer under the Law? Paul says God forbid!!! Grace is Gods gift in Yeshua. When we try to keep the Law, we find ourselves crucifying Yeshua all over again, for the Law was crucified with Him on the cross. I write these things in a prideful mentality as if i know alot, but i have experienced both the usage of the Law and the usage of grace. And this is what i have come to find out in the end of my experience.
Bless you, your brother in Yeshua, Daniel.

Daniel, The Law is really called the Torah. That means the instructions of Our Creator and they were fully given for us to keep or at least make an effort to keep. Our Creator wouldn’t have given us the instructions if we couldn’t keep them. No we are not 100% perfect all the time and if our heart is right we have grace but what you say about the Torah (Law) is not true. I pray you would reconsider your understanding and read your Scriptures again without a Christian viewpoint. Shalom

You even said yourself about the Torah, make an effort at least to try. Even with the Holy Spirit in our lives we still fall short. i don’t think i am wrong, but i respect your opinion.. i didn’t write outside of the scriptures but within the content of the scriptures. I may have added the Law was meant for the Lord instead for us, but i dont see it any other way. Yeshua did not have a sinful nature as we do, therefore He was able to fulfill the Law. I dont want to go back in fourth, but i will say Thank the Lord for His plan of redemption. Bless you brother.

Sorry i didnt mean to say “i write these things in a prideful mentality” I wanted to say the opposite!!! I am not prideful, and therefore please do not read it that way. Your response may be greater than my little knowledge.
    Peace to you brother,
    Daniel

Thank you very much for uploading these videos. I am watching all of them because I recently realized that the church has changed so much of the original meaning of the scriptures. You are very clear & easy to understand without adding or taking away from scriptures. Im am new to torah & I am absolutely loving the instructions of our Creator:) trying my best to keep his instructions because of his forgiveness towards us through yahshua. Shalom from Australia:)
