Torah Portion #18 Mishpatim (Exodus 21:1-24:18)

by on February 05, 2013
IIt took all day to complete this new teaching I just did about slavery in the Bible and the blood covenant. It is based on the torah portion for this coming Shabbat Exodus 21:1-24:18

I’ve always had a hard time understanding or explaining this Torah Portion about slavery, death and other laws giving by Moses after the ten commandments were giving.

After much study and prayer I now understand this portion better.

Much of these rulings were spoken about because they were common issues at that time in Egypt and Our Creator didn’t want these things to be an issue in the promised land.

I’m presented this Torah portion teaching in a different format than I usually do so please let me know what you think.

  1. Well spoken my brother in Messiah. Thankyou so much for your obedience to Abba. It’s a good idea too to read the portion first. Thankyou and YHWH bless you and your precious family. Dawn

I owe you an apology Brother Paul. It opened for me after I tried it again. Evidently it was a minor glitch. I enjoyed the video. Keep up the good work!

I like this idea Paul, it gets you to read the portion with your own perceptions then the teaching becomes like a conversation. It did unwrap an understanding of how to approach some of the questions posed by those who have a mind to attack scripture. Many thanks a great teaching method.

  4. I enjoyed this portion and the way that it has been presented. The previous way you have presented I also enjoy. Present them as you wish. I enjoy them all.
    Shalom, Joyce

I enjoy both formats of the Torah. If I had to choose right now I enjoy your previous format. I would have to view a few more of the new format to really get a feel.
Either way great job on the Torah Paul.
