Why I Street Preach
And then he told them,”Go into the world and preach the good news to everyone.” -Mark 16:15
I had been teaching healthy eating to people in the new age movement for a long time before I was saved. Once I became a Believer, I started sharing to people about the Bible and Yeshua (Jesus). How can I not?
I remember at one speaking engagement, I began to share the Gospel message to a crowd of unbelievers at a health festival. After the event, a Christian friend who had been listening to my message told me that it takes a lot of courage to speak the gospel in front of a bunch of nonbelievers.
I thought, what is he talking about courage? This is what I am supposed to be doing, sharing the good news with the world!
This has become a goal for me. Some people share the message one-on-one while others share the gospel just in the way they act. Both of these are great and I do that, but I have a burning desire to take this message to as many people as possible as quick as possible because I know time is running out.
I was visiting New York City (my hometown) one afternoon. I was in a popular local park and saw a street preacher. Up to this point I was never convinced that this was a good way to teach people about Yeshua.
As I watched this young man share scripture verses, I saw the demons in people come out and try to stop him, but he kept going.
The thing that impressed me the most was how the people with the demons in them stayed near him, some yelling at him, some doing their best to distract him. Anything they could do to get him to stop preaching, but he kept repeating scripture, and they were hearing it!
That was the most amazing discovering I made that day. These demon-possessed people could not leave the listening area around this man preaching the word of Our Creator.
No, they weren’t getting on their knees and giving their life to Yeshua, but they were hearing scripture.
I started to remember a time many years earlier when I heard a street preacher while riding the subway in NYC. I remember thinking to myself at the time, “This man is crazy.” But all these years later I remembered him and exactly what he was saying about Yeshua (Jesus). I even recall his voice and how he looked.
As confirmation that street preaching works, I was recently watching a YouTube video of a street preacher and someone approached him and said something like, “You’re just turning people off to the gospel and no one gets saved by this approach!” The street preacher responded by saying, “Sir, by me hearing a street preacher, that is exactly how I got saved, so it does work.”
Finally, I leave you with the story of famous Christian preacher and author, A.W. Tozer. As a young man, he was on his way home from work when he overheard a street preacher say, “If you don’t know how to be saved… just call on God, saying, ‘Lord, be merciful to me a sinner.” Upon returning home, he climbed into the attic and heeded the preacher’s advice.
Folks, you may see many people turned off by street preachers. The demons don’t want to hear the word! But any chance to share the gospel with the world works!
Yet preaching the Good News is not something I can boast about. I am compelled by our Creator Yahweh to do it. How terrible for me if I didn’t preach the good news!
-1 Corinthians 9:16
I was recently interviewed on by a Christian radio host and he asked me if I was a Christian. Before I could answer the question I had to give him a little history of Christianity. Then I revealed to him what I consider myself.
Question for you. If you know the correct understanding of Christianity today and someone asked you if you were a Christian, what would you tell them?
Find out what made this girl and her family leave the Christian church.
Someone asked me this question…
Why do say renewed covenant, when God said it would be a new covenant?
This video is my answer.
Find out why this Christian for 40 years didn’t feel complete until she found the Torah.
Another amazing testimonial of a Christian Pastor who found the Torah Life and realized all believers are to keep the commandments.
In this video I interviewed Christians who have been blessed by the Torah Life.
I have such a passion to teach people the true foundation of all Scripture, the Torah. If you do not understand the Torah, you cannot understand the Scriptures!!
Zachary Bauer was a Southern Baptist and decided to test everything in the Scriptures. When he asked the question, what is sin? Zach realized the Torah Life was the way to go.
Zach created an amazing website to bring simple articles and instruction teachings to those who are New 2 Torah. Zach searchers the internet and finds teachings and shares them on his site in hopes to consolidate them for people interested in them. The result is a great site with all kinds of different links to teachings that people can use to study the Bible. The site is http://www.new2torah.com. Please enjoy this video and check out his website.
If you know any one you would like to discover Torah please send this interview to them.
